Microbiology students to host archael ammonia oxidation seminar

Dr. David Stahl will present a seminar on archael ammonia oxidation at 3 p.m. Friday at George Lynn Cross Hall. Seminars are offered free to the public throughout the spring 2009 semester.

Stahl is a professor of civil and environmental engineering at the University of Washington. OU microbiology graduate students select and host speakers.

"I'm really excited about it because I don't know much about archael ammonia oxidation, " said Kira Moss, a microbiology undergraduate student. "And I've heard impressive things about Dr. Stahl."

The seminar will be in room 129 and is part of the Donald C. Cox Seminar Series in Microbiology, honoring a former faculty member and chairman to the college of microbiology.
